description
The invention relates to a continuous mixer, which serves pulverulent and / or granular solids with a liquid to a slurry (pulpy mass) to mix and to a mixer and a conveyor comprises, wherein the conveyor continuously promotes solids into the chamber of the mixer.
The advantages of the continuous mixer according to the invention are especially valuable when the slurry thus produced is a self-hardening mass, for example a kind of concrete.
Especially advantageous are the advantages of the continuous mixer according to the invention, when the slurry thus prepared cures very quickly, as is typically required when the slurry is mixed with a foam and should cure to foam concrete.
When mixing powdered and / or granular solids with liquid to form a self-curing slurry, there is the problem that, after completion of the discharge from the mixer, a residue of slurry will remain as adhesion in the mixer where it will cure, unless the mixer is promptly cleaned. By using a continuous mixer, with the help of which one can mix over a longer period in the flow - and not in individual separate batches with intermediate downtime must mix, - cleaning effort is reduced.
Typical continuous mixers for making self-curing slurry of powdered and / or granular solids and water include a conveyor and a mixer wherein the conveyor continuously moves the solids through an opening into the chamber of the mixer, with at least one additional orifice liquid is introduced into the chamber of the mixer, wherein the mixer continuously
Page 1 2/18 G 974 and the slurry which continuously forms in the mixer continuously flows out of the mixer through another opening. Examples of such mixers are shown in DE 3100443 A1, DE 3629674 A1, EP 1065033 A2 and WO 2011044604 A1.
DE 3100443 Al shows a continuous mixer for concrete or foam concrete, in which the solids are transported via a screw conveyor from the bottom of a feed container in the chamber of the mixer. Mixing water is added in the mixer and the slurry is stirred. Feed screw and rotor of the mixer lie on a common shaft and are driven together by a motor. A disadvantage of this inherently robust and simple design is that the mixer can only be emptied when the screw conveyor is already empty. Rapid, unplanned shutdown, as may be required in the event of faults on any parts of the system, thus leading to significant problems.
DE 3629674 A1 and WO 2011044604 show similar continuous mixers, although the screw conveyor and mixer rotor have no common shaft and are drivable separately from one another. Thus, the mixer can be emptied when only the auger and the other material supply are turned off. In a cleaning of the mixer - which is usually done by spraying cleaning liquid into the mixing chamber, - but cleaning liquid can also get to the located on the mixer end portion of the auger conveyor and form a self-hardening mass with this.
EP 1065033 A2 shows a continuous mixer in which the pulverulent and / or granular solids are introduced into the mixing chamber from above and not from one side as in the aforementioned publications. When cleaning the mixer by sprayed liquid so the danger is somewhat reduced but not banned that liquid to not yet in the
Page 2 3/18 G 974
Mixing chamber located pülverförmige and / or granular solids and forms a curable composition with these. Due to the vertical orientation of the material flow through the mixing chamber, it is difficult to achieve a uniformly good mixing result, especially when the slurry is a very rapidly curing, as it is desirable for the production of foam concrete itself.
The object underlying the invention is to design a continuous mixer, which has a mixing chamber and a conveying screw for pulverulent and / or granular solids conveying into it: in such a way that the screw conveyor can be turned off at any time and the mixer emptied and cleaned, without there being any hardening attachments on the screw conveyor or in the channel in which the screw conveyor runs. It should also be possible to introduce the powdery and / or granular solids from such an opening forth in the mixing chamber, which is located on the mixing chamber laterally and not above.
To solve the problem, the invention proposes to provide at the transition between the conveyor channel - in which the screw conveyor - and the mixing chamber to provide a movable lid through which the mixing chamber can be optionally sealed against the conveyor channel.
This results in the following advantages over the prior art: During the cleaning of the mixer, it can be ruled out that the material in the delivery channel comes into contact with cleaning liquid. • The screw conveyor can be stopped at any time, even for a long time, without any fear that the material will harden on it or on the walls of the conveyor channel.
Page 3 4/18 G 974 • Fully automated cleaning of the mixing chamber with liquid under high pressure is possible. In extreme cases, the mixing chamber could even be completely filled with liquid. • There are no limits to the dimensioning of the feed hopper from which the auger feeds, since even with intensive cleaning of the mixer there is no need to completely empty the hopper.
In a preferred embodiment, the lid is translationally displaceable parallel to the opening of the mixing chamber to be closed. This can be built to save space.
In a further preferred embodiment, not only the mixing chamber can be closed by the lid, but also the opening of the feed container facing the mixing chamber. For this purpose, in the closed state on one side of the lid of the mixer and on the opposite side of the conveyor. This can be prevented in a simple design that unwanted material trickles out of the hopper.
In a still further preferred embodiment, the conveyor is a screw conveyor wherein the screw conveyor on the side of the mixer protrudes slightly from the feed container and. slightly protruding into the mixer housing during operation and wherein the lid is provided on the side facing the hopper with a groove for receiving the part of the screw conveyor projecting from the hopper, from which one or more soft deformable elements, as typically during closing of the lid the bristles of a brush protrude to the protruding part of the conveyor section.
By the screw conveyor projects beyond the feed tank and thus projects into the mixing chamber during operation, the pulverulent and / or granular solids are best in the
Page 4 5/18 G 9 74
Moving in the mixing chamber. In operation, in this embodiment, it may happen that powdered and / or granular solids, which are located on the protruding part of the screw conveyor, are soaked there with mixed water and tend to adhere to the screw conveyor. However, this material mixture is wiped when closing the lid by the located thereon soft deformable parts of the protruding part of the screw.
In a further preferred embodiment, a sealing surface is attached to the lid, specifically on its side facing the mixer. This ensures that the mixing chamber is sealingly closed during cleaning, so that no cleaning liquid between lid and mixer housing can escape. The seal may typically be made of rubber and be made flat over the entire lid, or only in the region of the lid which contacts the part of the mixer housing which surrounds the opening.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to drawings:

Fig. 2: Shows the parts of Fig. 1 in a side sectional view during cleaning.
Fig. 3: Shows the lid of the continuous mixer of Fig. 1 and
Fig. 2 in a perspective view.
In the illustrated advantageous embodiment, the conveying device is a screw conveyor, of which in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the hopper 1 and the screw conveyor 1.1 are shown.
Page 5 6/18 G 974
Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 also show the mixer housing 2, with the mixing chamber 2.1, the inlet opening 2.2 for powdery and / or granular solids, the outlet opening 2.3 for the slurry produced in the mixing chamber and inlets 2.5 for An-mach- or Cleaning fluid. On the representation of the movable part in mixing chamber 2.1 has been omitted. For example, this moving part could be the rotor of a paddle mixer or a plow blade mixer. The drive shaft for this movable part extends through the opening 2.4 in the wall facing away from the hopper 1 wall of the mixer housing. 2
Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 further show a cover 3, which consists of a support member 3.1, a sealing surface 3.2 and a brush 3.4, which is arranged in a downward and to the side of the mixer housing 1 open towards the groove 3.4 of the supporting part 3.1. The structure of the lid 3 is directly apparent in Fig. 3. Fig. 2 also shows a normal to the conveying direction of the screw conveyor 1.1 aligned guide rail 4, along which the lid 3 is slidably held and which is held rigidly relative to the feed container 1 itself.
In the operating line sketched in FIG. 1, bulk material from pulverulent and / or granular solids is conveyed by the conveying screw 1.1 into the mixing chamber 2.1 as intended. Anmachflüssigkeit flows through the openings 2.5 in the mixing chamber. The rotor (not shown) located in the mixing chamber mixes the solids and the mixing liquid into a slurry, which flows out of the mixing chamber 2.1 through the outlet opening 2.3. In the case that the continuous mixer is used for the production of foam concrete, the slurry then flows into another cavity in which it is mixed with a foam and then together with this in a form in which the mixture hardens.
Page 6 7/18 G 9 74
As can be seen in Fig. 1 projects in the operating state, the screw conveyor 1.1 out of the hopper 1 and through the conveyor side wall of the mixer housing slightly into the mixing chamber 2.1 into it. Of course, the moving in the mixing chamber 2.1 rotor must be led out so short that he does not abut the screw conveyor 1.1. By the feed screw 1.1 protrudes at least to the mixing chamber 2.1 through the opening in the wall of the mixer housing, prevents powdery and / or granular solids at the end of the conveyor channel in which the screw conveyor 1.1 runs, can create. Such fitting material would be very disturbing, since it would come into contact with mixing water in mixed operation and thus could harden even with continuously running continuous mixer and then significantly hinder the further conveying. As soon as possible after the operating state, ie the state in which the continuous mixer produces continuously curable slurry, is turned off, the continuous mixer should be brought into the cleaning state outlined in FIG. 2, in which mixing chamber 2.1 and all parts located therein are cleaned.
The transition to the cleaning state takes place in the following steps: a) The feed screw 1.1 is switched off. b) The mixer housing is moved along with the parts contained therein and also the drive for the moving parts of the mixer linearly slightly away from the hopper 1. (In Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the required mobility is symbolized by a horizontal, dotted, two-sided arrow.) C) The lid 3, which was previously located above the mixer housing 2 on the mixing chamber end of the screw conveyor 1.1 is vertical moved down so that it on one side of said end of the screw conveyor 1.1 so- ·
As in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the required mobility of the cover by a vertical, dotted, in the mixer housing 2. two-sided arrow symbolizes.) d) The mixer housing is moved together with the parts contained therein and also the drive for the moving parts of the mixer linearly something to the hopper 1, so-that the lid 3 between the mixer housing 2 and the hopper 1 is slightly pinched and the mixer housing 2 rests under pressure on the sealing surface 3.2 of the cover, which is typically formed of a rubber-elastic material. e) Through the inlets 2.5 cleaning fluid is pumped into the mixing chamber 2.1. For example, water can be sprayed with several bar pressure. For better cleaning, the moving part (rotor) of the mixer should be moved and not stand still.
It is advantageous, with the switching to the cleaning state and that line which leads away from the opening 2.3 of the mixing chamber 2.1, also change, so that the mixture of cleaning fluid and washed-off mixing chamber contents is diverted to another container than the intended good.
To change from the cleaning state to the operating state, the inflow of cleaning liquid is stopped, the mixer housing 2 moves slightly away from the hopper 1, the lid 3 moves upwards, the mixer housing moves up to the hopper, the auger 1.1 is put into operation and through the inlets 2.5 mixing liquid passed into the mixing chamber.
As can be clearly understood from FIG. 2, the mixing chamber-side end of the conveyor screw 1.1 protrudes during the cleaning state
Page 9 9/18 G 9 74 in the groove 3.3 on the support part 3.1 of the cover 3 and rests there against the bristles of the brush 3.4. During the movement of the lid 3 at the transitions between the individual states, the front end of the screw conveyor 1.1 is swept and cleaned by the bristles of the brush 3.4.
Instead of a brush 3.4, one could, for example, also use soft cloths or one or more sponges and fix them to the boundary surfaces of the groove 3.3 on the carrier element 3.1 of the lid 3.
The: transitions between the two operating states can easily ablate automated. The required linear movements of the parts 2, 3 can typically be driven by pneumatic cylinders. For controlling the liquid flow to the inlets 2.5 solenoid valves may typically be used.
The continuous mixer according to the invention is particularly valuable in the application for the production of foam concrete especially for two reasons.
One reason is that the switching from the operating state to the cleaning state can be done very quickly. This reliably prevents the formation of slurry in the mixing chamber 2.1 during the redistribution process, although an extremely rapidly hardenable slurriness is formed as a result of the product and process.
The second reason is that, due to the sensitivity of the process, it is necessary to shut off the continuous mixer more often than other mixing operations in foam concrete production. Stopping and starting the continuous mixer are connected by the inventive design with extremely little labor and time.
